Introducing Everlast® Shadow Box

 

Everlast Shadow Box Workout, The Next Round.

You don’t need to be a boxer to train like one. Designed by 24 Hour Fitness and Everlast, this exclusive 45-minute session provides new punch combinations and challenging speed and agility drills. It’s a total body athletic workout with a definite boxing feel, combining cardiovascular conditioning with strength exercises.

The class begins with a review of the punches used in the workout, along with proper boxing form and technique. Next, the Round Timer will start for a seven-minute warm-up that elevates your heart rate and gets you ready for punch combinations and conditioning drills. This segment will include jumping jacks, pushups, jabs, and straight rights.

Once you’re warmed up and ready to go, the instructor will lead you through a series of three-minute punch combinations intermixed with three minutes of athletic-style conditioning drills. The punch combinations include jabs, hooks, uppercuts, bobs, and slips.

When the Round Timer rings, it’s time for a three-minute conditioning drill. This drill may include mountain climbers combined with pushups, plyometrics, boxer suicides, or agility work. From there, the class will move into a punch combination.

After 40 minutes of work and sweat, you will cool down with a walk around the room. Your instructor will then lead you in a final stretching session for the upper and lower body.

Throughout the class, you’ll be in good hands. Our instructors are experts in proper form and technique. They know how to motivate, inspire, and coach a group, while also giving tips and suggestions to help each individual meet their personal workout goals.

Feel free to wear hand wraps or gloves to class. You may either bring your own jump rope or borrow one of ours.

The Everlast Shadow Box workout is exclusive to 24 Hour Fitness and is offered in more than 300 clubs nationwide. After this Group X workout, you’ll be ready to go the distance!
