U.S. Olympic Team Partnership
24 Hour Fitness, a long time fan of the Olympic Movement, became a U.S. Olympic Team partner in 2003 and has committed to a partnership through the 2012 Olympic Games in London. As the Official Fitness Center of Team USA, 24 Hour Fitness is also helping U.S. athletes train for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games by providing state-of-the-art equipment and expertise at U.S. Olympic Training Centers in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chula Vista, California and Lake Placid, New York.
Furthermore, 24 Hour Fitness will once again assist the USOC with the creation of a U.S. Team High Performance Training Center (HPTC) to be staffed by 24 Hour Fitness team members, also known as “Fitness Ambassadors,” from over 420 – 24 Hour Fitness clubs across the United States. The cardio, strength and conditioning facility will be approximately 6,000 square feet and has been designed specifically for the USOC and Team USA’s delegation of more than 550 athletes to train and ready them for competition while in London.
Since 2003, 24 Hour Fitness has supported over 25 U.S. Olympic Team Hopefuls on their journey to represent Team USA; including hopefuls who have worked in our clubs. In addition to supporting our hopefuls, 24 Hour Fitness opens its clubs each day to over 500 Olympians.
