24 Hour Fitness Commemorates 400th Club Milestone
SAN RAMON, Calif. - July 28, 2007
24 Hour Fitness, the largest privately owned U.S. fitness chain and leading health club pioneer, today announced the opening of the 24 Hour Fitness Agassi Super Sport in Laguna Niguel, marking the company’s 400th club. The signature athlete club with tennis great and Olympic gold medalist Andre Agassi will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, July 28, 2007. Opening weekend festivities will include raffles, special grand opening rates and an appearance and autograph signing with the tennis legend.
“I’ve spent a great deal of my life devoted to fitness and attribute a lot of my on-court success to my health and fitness regimen,” said Agassi. “Even though I’m no longer playing professionally, exercise is still an important part of my life. My 24 Hour Fitness clubs allow me to share that passion and help people achieve their health and fitness goals.”
The 52,861 square foot club located at 27921 La Paz Road will be managed by Jim Deane and will employ approximately 100 team members. The Agassi Super Sport marks the sixth co-branded club partnership between 24 Hour Fitness and Agassi. All 24 Hour Fitness Agassi Super Sport Clubs are full service fitness facilities with numerous amenities, including an outdoor pool, spa, indoor basketball court, cycling room, Group exercise, Kids’Club, steam room, juice bar, executive locker rooms and pro shop. The first opened in Agassi’s hometown of Las Vegas in 2004.
