SAN RAMON, Calif., September 16, 2009 - 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide, the largest privately owned U.S. fitness chain and leading health club pioneer, today announced the grand opening of its third co-branded health club in New York City with New York icon and Yankees’ captain Derek Jeter. The signature sports club, called 24 Hour Fitness – Derek Jeter, is located at 136 Crosby Street and joins locations at Madison Square Park and 53rd Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.
The latest club occupies the top three floors of a former warehouse and features original beams and massive windows. Jeter played an active role in the design, look, tone and feel of the clubs and is currently appearing in advertising and making promotional appearances on behalf of the club.
