24 Hour Fitness, the largest privately owned U.S. fitness chain and a leading health club industry pioneer, has released ‘bodybugg mobile,’ a mobile-enabled Web site that allows bodybugg® calorie management system users who have iPhone® or iPod® touch devices a more convenient way to log their daily food intake and check their progress towards reaching their fitness goals.
Subscribers to the bodybugg, which includes an armband and an optional digital display that keeps users informed of calories consumed and burned, now have the option of logging into their account on my.apexfitness.com or bodybugg.com via their iPhone or iPod touch devices – a great tool since so many people have busy schedules that require eating on the run.
“Our members told us that they wanted the bodybugg system to go mobile and we listened,” said Bill Quinn, Senior Vice President, Merchandising. “After launching the My24 app a few months ago, we’re happy to extend our mobile tools to bodybugg users to give them another way to help them meet their goals.”
The bodybugg mobile Web site allows users to:
• Log in, view and edit meals from their iPhone or iPod touch
• View meals in their meal plans
• Access frequent foods, custom foods
• View information on calories burned, calorie burn targets and calorie balance
• View total calories logged for the day

Last December, 24 Hour Fitness introduced My24 - an iPhone application and mobile Web site that allows users to locate clubs while on the move, review club amenities, look up class schedules and access a variety of fitness tools.
