Trainers Home Visits
On the reality TV show where people win by losing, even participants who don’t win will now come out ahead. That’s because 24 Hour Fitness will be providing a personal trainer visit to each eliminated contestant family from Season 6 of NBC’s hit show, The Biggest Loser.
In a new twist for The Biggest Loser, Season 6 will feature families who are trying to lose weight together. After each family is voted off the show, a 24 Hour Fitness Certified Personal Trainer will visit their home to give them tips and support on reaching their ultimate weight loss goals. The personal trainer home visit element that has been added this season is another great way for 24 Hour Fitness to support the show’s contestants. 24 Hour Fitness looks forward to helping people change their lives both on and off the show, as well as inside and outside of our clubs.

the plan for the home visit
The trainer will focus first on the pantry. By providing healthy eating tips and suggesting foods to cut from the diet, trainers will prevent families from falling back into the unhealthy habits that led to their initial weight gain.
Next, the trainer will help set up home workout equipment. 24 Hour Fitness will provide each contestant family with a full suite of in-home exercise tools, including mats, stability balls, and conditioning bands. The trainer will then develop a customized workout plan that helps the family work together to slim down.
Each contestant also received a bodybugg® calorie management system, which automatically detects how many calories a person has consumed and burned each day. With the help of the bodybugg, they will be able to track their progress towards activity and dietary goals.
season 5 winner provides inspiration
What’s the inspiration for this new service from 24 Hour Fitness? The story of Season 5 winner Ali Vincent. Eliminated from The Biggest Loser during the fourth episode, Vincent remained determined to transform her life with fitness. She became a familiar face at her local 24 Hour Fitness club, where she worked out with a Certified Personal Trainer—a habit she plans to keep.
“24 Hour Fitness has helped me change my life through fitness,” says Vincent. “I’ve been a member since 2004, but since the show, I am actually using the club and working out with a personal trainer. I’m also taking advantage of the Group X classes like my favorite, 24 Cycle. I know it is hard to get started, but I hope my personal story and the obstacles I have overcome, will inspire others to get started on their own fitness journey.”
