meet Alicia Sacramone

“Having 24 Hour Fitness' support is so huge. To have them dedicated to help us reach our goals is so important: they’re committed to helping us make our Olympic dreams come true.”

Alicia Sacramone’s achievements in her run up to the Beijing Games are nothing less than inspiring. She has won the most world championship medals of any current member of the U.S. National Team – gold in team competition, silver in floor exercise and bronze in vault in 2007. She is the only U.S. woman since 1989 to win a world championship medal in the vault competition, boasting two golds, three silvers and two bronzes in that event alone.

Alicia also competes with the Brown University team where she has set school records in the all-around, vault and floor exercise. She was named ECAC Rookie of the Year and swept the Ivy League Classic, becoming the first gymnast to win all five events and posting the highest all-around total ever for the competition. She is currently the only female gymnast on the National Team to combine full-time college study with participation in both NCAA and elite gymnastics. She learned firsthand the tremendous challenges of this rarely followed dual team lineup and ultimately forfeited NCAA eligibility last fall to sign with an agent.
