Cardless Check-In at 24 Hour Fitness

Cardless Check-In allows members to access our health clubs without a membership card.  No need to fumble through your gym bag or purse... just scan your finger, enter your 10-digit check-in code and you're on your way.

Why is this new system being implemented? 

• Convenience: Members often say they wish they didn’t have to bring a photo ID to check in. With Cardless Check-In, you don’t have to bring anything except yourself and a workout towel! 
• Security: Cards can be lost or stolen. This system ensures that only you can use your membership and that only members are using the gym.
• Green Focus: We’re always looking for more ways to be environmentally friendly. By eliminating membership cards, we eliminate a lot of plastic and paper waste.

How does the new Cardless Check-In system work? 

Accessing the gym has never been easier! Once you’ve enrolled, you can check in by going to the front desk, entering your check-in code on a small keypad, and then placing your finger on the finger scanner. No membership card necessary!

How do I enroll? 

Ask one of our Team Members at the front desk to help you enroll. You’ll choose a 10-digit check-in code (most people use their phone number), and then we’ll take three scans of your right and left index fingers. We scan both fingers so that you can still check in even if one hand is occupied or injured. Enrollment only takes about a minute to complete.

Does this mean 24 Hour Fitness will have my fingerprints? 

No. We’ve partnered with MorphoTrak, a leader in the biometric industry, to develop this convenient new way to check in to our clubs. By scanning your finger, we chart the distance between a few distinct points that are unique to you and come up with an identifying number based on those distances. Neither we nor MorphoTrak store your fingerprints, nor can the data we store be re-created into a fingerprint image. Additionally, we do not sell, lease, rent, trade or otherwise transfer the data to any third parties.

After my club gets the Cardless Check-in system will I still need my membership card? 

No!  Once your club receives the Cardless Check-in system you won’t need your card anymore.  Our new check-in system doesn’t use membership cards, so you won’t have any use for it.  If you enroll in Cardless Check-in and happen to visit a club later on that isn’t setup with the new system yet you can just use your Photo ID to gain entry to that club.

What if I don't want to participate in this new way of checking in? 

If you don’t want to enroll, you’ll need to bring your driver’s license or another government or school issued ID each time you check in.

Will I need to bring my ID if I use Kids' Club? 

No!  Cardless check-in is also integrated in our Kids’ Club check-in process.  If you prefer to not use Cardless Check-in you may use an original photo ID to check your children in and out of Kids’ Club.
