24 Hour Fitness is teaming up with the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation to hit your average 5K out of the park. Join thousands of participants from across the country at the Runyon 5K, a unique fundraising run/walk that uses Yankee Stadium as its course. Make your weekend workout count by supporting innovative cancer research by today’s most brilliant young scientists. Great prizes from 24 Hour Fitness and other event partners will be awarded to the top three fundraisers.

The Event
Participants will run or walk the stadium’s concourses and ramps, climb stairs between levels, and take their own victory laps around the warning track that circles the field. The event, the only charity 5K held inside the home of the World Champion Yankees, is not just for seasoned athletes. All are welcome to register.

Participants can register as individuals or get friends, family members and colleagues together to form a team. The registration fee is $35 for students and $50 for adults. Beginning July 16th, the registration fee will increase to $40 for students and $60 for adults.

Striking out cancer
100% of all donations raised will go to cutting-edge cancer research by today's best young scientists.  For 64 years, Damon Runyon has selected and supported the rising stars of science, emerging leaders who have great potential to achieve breakthroughs in how we diagnose, treat and prevent cancer.  So far, the Foundation has funded more than 3,300 scientists, including 11 Nobel Laureates.
