favorite workout:
Yoga is my favorite – I love to stretch. It also helps with my balance and strength. I'll have to say that weight training and swimming are close runner-ups.
favorite client success story:
I have a client who is a cantor for her church, so obviously she sings a lot. It turns out that personal training has increased her core strength and improved her posture – and that's actually improved her singing as well!
favorite way to motivate clients:
Motivation works differently for every client. Some are motivated by what I say to them. Others get inspired when I do the exercise with them. Interestingly, some get motivated when I introduce them to my successful clients.
exercise/fitness philosophy:
Exercising is like brushing your teeth. You don't think about whether you have the time to brush your teeth or whether you want to brush your teeth. You just do it. It becomes a habit you enjoy because it feels good.
hobbies and interests:
I'm really into yoga, weight training and swimming. I'm also studying French.
most embarrassing moment:
When I first became a personal trainer, I congratulated a woman on being pregnant. She wasn't!
