my challenge
I had been a member of 24 Hour Fitness for more than a year before I met and started training with Michelle Mcdonald-Vlastnik. I dabbled with working out on my own and found the results to be less than desirable. In fact, they were down right disappointing. At forty-one years of age, I was in terrible condition mentally, physically, and spiritually.
In late January 2005, after another less than satisfying trip to the gym, I decided that something had to be done. As I was preparing to leave the facility, I ran into Michelle. Sheepishly, I asked her if she was taking on any more clients, to which she enthusiastically replied that she was.
my training
We set an appointment for nutritional consultation, goal setting, and measurements. Thus, we began the arduous road to getting me in shape mentally, physically, and spiritually. To say that this was one of the most difficult endeavors that I have undertaken is an understatement. But, I was committed, driven and determined to turn my life around. I also had Michelle there to guide, instruct and facilitate the physical, mental and spiritual changes that began to occur. I cannot thank her enough for her endearing support throughout this process.
Slowly but surely, the changes that she had assured me would come about, began to materialize. Then the changes started to appear more rapidly. After a few months I began to get comments from co-workers and family members about the changes that they were seeing. After a few more months, acquaintances from the gym would approach me and ask me what I was doing. The more I worked with Michelle and did my "homework" (cardio), the more I found that I was feeling better and better, physically, mentally and spiritually.
my results
Today, a year later, I am continually astounded by the comments that I receive from friends, family and acquaintances that have seen my transformation and want to know more about how I did it. My response is simple – get into the gym, find a trainer that is passionate, knowledgeable and compatible, set goals, work hard to strive to meet them (any in my case sweat a lot), and see the results.
I cannot find the words that express my gratitude to Michelle and 24 Hour Fitness for offering me the opportunity to change my life. I thank you and look forward to continuing our relationship.
