I had a few different trainers before 24 Hour Fitness. None of them focused on nutrition as much as Kelly has. None of them took the time to teach me when, what and how much I should be eating. I never felt like any of my other trainers cared whether or not I got to my goal.

my training

For someone like me, who had a sufficient amount of weight to lose, it was important to have a trainer who would stick by me and support me the whole way. That's what Kelly did. He was always very thorough. He not only answered all my questions, he would also tell me where I could get more information if I wanted to.

my results

What has been the biggest change in my life since working with my personal trainer Kelly Behunin? The biggest change has been my attitude toward life. I went from a size 22 to a size 12. I have gained more self confidence and a better self esteem. I'm more comfortable talking to and meeting new people. I enjoy wearing feminine clothes, whereas before I always wore men's clothes because they were baggy. I love to go shopping, something I have never enjoyed in the past. I feel like the clerks are nicer to me now that I'm thinner.

I also enjoy trying new things. Since I've lost the weight, I've learned how to wakeboard and rock climb. Two things I have always wanted to do but haven't been able to because I was too heavy. I don't feel ashamed or uncomfortable to eat in front of people. When I sit in chairs next to people, I don't feel like I'm taking up more than my share. I fit into airplane seats.

I have more energy at work. I feel like I am a better teacher because I can run around with the kids all day without taking breaks every five minutes. I actually look forward to going to the gym, and I'm not afraid to go to the “boys section” anymore

I am confident that I will be able to maintain a healthy lifestyle because of the education I've received from Kelly. He has helped me accomplish a goal I've had for over ten years. Something I've wanted to do but never really understood how to do it. I am grateful that I've had him as my trainer. I've learned through this process that not all trainers are the same. They each have their own individual qualities, strengths and weaknesses. I'm glad I found a 24 Hour Fitness trainer and was lucky enough to get one of the best!
