Athletics have been a part of my life since childhood. I played soccer for 8 years and basketball and softball in High School. Before graduating I was 1 of 2 girls in my weight training and conditioning class. During my time at Radford University I dedicated most of my time to rugby. It became a really big part of my life and I myself became really big, reaching 190 lbs my junior year. The weight along with a knee and shoulder injury made it difficult to participate. That is when I took on coaching, stepping back from being a player. Somehow I managed to lose 40 lbs and started educating others to take care of themselves through fitness, most importantly doing it safely. Today I have incorporated nutrition into my life far more than ever before, losing another 25lbs. Just like anyone else I worked hard to get where I am at. I became a personal trainer because I want to help those who are discouraged or do not know the next step to take. There is no such thing as too late or giving up no matter who you are. I love to teach people so they can discover something about themselves they never knew.
