After having two children I gained 100 pounds. I realized one day I needed to be a good example for my children. I needed to do something about being obese. I was so unhappy and overwhelmed by the thought of losing all the weight. I started by walking an hour everyday. I would park further away at stores as well. After a few months I joined 24 Hour Fitness with a friend. I worked out for a few months, four times a week, not really knowing what I was doing. I lost 30 pounds on my own. I met my trainer on free orientation and signed a three pack which was only the beginning. We trained together and I lost 60 pounds in a year and a half. Personal training was one of the BEST investments I have ever done for me. I have continued to work on my fitness and it has become a passion of mine! The most difficult and most rewarding thing I have ever done was to lose 100 pounds! I love helping others walk through this journey. I understand how hard making a life change can be but I encourage anyone to love themselves enough to take a leap of Faith and give fitness a chance.
