I always saw my father lifting weights since I was a child. I wanted to copy him, but he told me to wait till I was 14 years old. When I hit 13 years old, I began hitting the weights. By the time I was 18, I knew I wanted to work with in the world of fitness.
I was hired by 24 Hour Fitness in November of 2007 and became a trainer in February of 2008. It was fun to keep myself in shape, but I wanted to do more. I wanted to help others overcome their challenges, feel good about themselves and achieve their goals.
I knew personal fitness was an increasing challenge in today's world so I took it upon myself to meet that challenge by teaching, training and inspiring people to make a difference in their lives. To show that they CAN lose weight, build muscle, get ripped - and that it doesn't require a gimmick diet to do so.
This job has allowed me to fulfill my dream of helping others. I have grown so much through my experience and relationships that I could not be happier. Personal Training has given me a chance to make a living doing what I love.
I have been blessed to witness somebody who could barely step on a stool doing power polymeric and circuit training; watching somebody who struggled with weight loss break down in tears over losing 81 pounds; help clients with cerebral palsy fix their balance and be able to do a chest press on a stability ball or a single leg balance.
When I became a personal trainer, I changed my life and the lives of others. When are you going to make the decision to change yours?
