When I was in middle school, I was an overweight 13 year old. My desire to lose weight came when I realized I needed to change my habits or I would always be overweight. So to start, I began running a mile a day and eating smaller portion sizes. Even at that young age, I tried to research what I could to help me with my goal.
The summer before high school, I participated in a strength and conditioning program with our school. It was the first structured resistance training program I ever went through and I am so thankful that I did. When I got to high school, I was faster, stronger, and more active. My weight went from 200lbs to 148lbs within those two years of work. I became a better athlete which allowed me to undergo so many of the experiences I have had since my transformation. I knew then that I wanted to help people through fitness.
