Hello my name is Shalini and I use to be fat. My cardio was walking to the dining room and strength training involved lifting my utensils to my mouth. As a teenager I decided I would not continue my family's legacy in becoming another diabetic so I took up Taekwondo. In college I trained with a trainer whom educated me in the benefits of strength training and nutrition. Every year I strive to challenge myself in the fitness arena via adding more weights, running in a race, participating in a new group x class. Becoming a trainer was the next step in my fitness journey and helping others share the experience my trainer provided for me: a chance at becoming the best you, you can be.
