The switch came on for me during my Junior year of College after my first of two reconstructive shoulder surgeries. Up until this point I had taken health and fitness for granted. I was active in sports all of my life playing Baseball and Football since I can remember. I assumed that this would always be the case even beyond college with an opportunity to continue my career at some level of professional Football.
After wearing an immobilizer for eight weeks my arm had become stiff and extreme atrophy had set in. With the patience care and instruction from our schools athletic training department we rehabilitated my shoulder and I was able to participate in Spring Practice. My respect and appreciation grew for the members of the training department. I was touched with the care, time and personal interest that each team member took to get me back healthy again. My mind was set. This is what I want to do. I want to be able to assist people to reach their physical goals.
Instead moving on to Law School as I had previously planned, I decided to pursue a degree in Kinesiology and joined to the 24 Hour Fitness Team in 2001. I have enjoyed the education, support and knowledge that I have received over the past 8 and half years to help me support my team members and clients reach their life and health and fitness goals. Each day when I come to work, I smile and realize that I am very fortunate to be able to have a job where I can aide in helping some one change their lives forever.
