I majored in Criminal Law at Sonoma State with the goal of becoming a police officer because my passion is to serve others. Two years ago, I changed my goal to become a Personal Trainer. I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma with Vasculitis. After going through the chemotherapy and radiation treatments, I thought I could finally move on to the next steps in my life. Two days after Christmas in 2007 I had a hemorrhagic stroke from my ongoing vasculitis medication. I went through intense therapy to learn how to walk, talk, and slowly work back into everyday life. My passion for service has not changed, but the way in which I provide service to society has. Through my experience, I am now driven to help others through fitness. I believe that exercise improves our emotional and physical well being and that it increases self confidence that enhances all aspects of our everyday lives.
