My name is Yaz. Growing up I was always an active individual, especially in sports. I played sports starting at the age of 5 and continued throughout college. Despite my active lifestyle, I always struggled to lose weight. My whole life I struggled with losing 20 pounds and gaining it back two weeks later. Eventually weighing over 270 pounds; I consulted with doctors, nutritionists and a pyschologist. I made the decision to get a Lap-Band. I was able to lose about 30 pounds, which was just not enough for me. At this point I decided I was going to take control of my life and quit blaming the world for my size. I started going to the gym on a regular basis. Using my degree in Athletic Training to help me understand the human body, how it functions and what it needs along with my hard work (mentally and physically.) With my dedication I was able to lose the weight that I wanted!
