My journey into becoming a personal trainer started for me in college when I was an exercise science major at Arizona State University. I always knew that I wanted to help people achieve their fitness goals. I understood the difference of eating a balanced diet and following an exercise regimen would greatly enhance people’s lives. I have been an avid cyclist in my earlier years, and then found great joy in lifting weights and pushing myself to achieve new goals.
Life for me took a serious turn 13 years ago when I lost my first son to a genetic disease. Following his death I ballooned up to 280 pounds, using food as a way to comfort me during that time of sorrow. I knew this was not healthy for me and began changing my ways and get back on the road to fitness! I dropped over 60 pounds. I knew right then and there that if I could do it, then anyone could do it! I have maintained this weight off for 12 years now!
I find coming to the gym and helping people achieve their fitness goals to be extremely rewarding. Nothing for me is more gratifying than to see the look on my clients faces as they realize their goals! What better job is there where you can help improve the quality of someone’s life? I am also an avid football fan and love to talk sports. I am known for my humor and make working out fun and challenging instead of a chore. If you want to lose weight, get fit, and be challenged to exceed your goals then I am the trainer for you!!
