When I was younger I started playing competitive softball, and in 1 weekend we would play 8+ games. I was the only catcher, so I put a lot of wear and tear on my knees. At the age of 16 I had "the knees and back of a 65 year old" according to my Chiropractor and he desperately wanted me to have surgery.
So in 2007, I applied to 24 Hour Fitness, to not only work but start working out. Nothing makes me happier then working with my clients. I knew the lack of knowledge and proper stretching is what caused me to almost have surgery. I took this job at strides, knowing there is not one person that would not be able to benefit from a proper resistance training program. Getting my NASM CES has opened the door to clients that really needed help. Knee replacements, hip replacements, pregnancies and just about any other corrective situation is what drives me to be here. Plus the beautiful weight loss stories I have had over the last 5 years of service. I became a trainer to fix and repair and that is exactly what I do and I love it.
