After tearing my ACL in 2008 I was at my all time highest weight of 175 pounds. I was able to rehab my knee and get a lifeguarding job which kept me in the water quite often. Swimming daily in combination with resistance training made it possible for me to lose 40 pounds, complete my first triathlon sprint in 2012, and my first marathon in 2013. My passion for the industry does not only stem from being able to accomplish those athletic events, but from being able to experience first hand what fitness can do for you emotionally and physically. Getting back in shape and losing those 40 pounds has made such a huge impact on my life that I want to impact peoples lives through fitness the same way it did mine.
