Ive been in the fitness field for atleast the last decade. Ive been a manager and currently a Master trainer with 24 Hour Fitness. The journey began when I enlisted in the United States Army as a medic. Through the daily hikes and physical training requirements, as a medic carrying a 40lbs aid bag, along with the required equipment, I decided that I need to be physically stronger. I realized the amount of training and discipline needed to withstand each activity on a daily basis. After having served 6 years with 4th Infantry Division, and stationed in varies places across the country, I decided to head back to school. My journey then took me through Cypress College, where I received my Associates Degree and ending up at the California State University Fullerton. After I received my Bachelors Degree in Child Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescence development,I knew then that I want to pursue a career where I can help others. One day during college, while working out with one of my fraternity brothers, he noticed through my hard work and passion about working out, that I would make a great personal trainer. Little did I know that he was a manager at 24 Hour Fitness. Now a decade later, Im still going strong and just as passionate as I was the first day I trained. My training styles have grown through the years with varies advances in strength, speed,and core training. Athletes these days want to be bigger and better, and Ive had to keep up with the newest ways of training. Every training session can vary from high impact workouts to low impact yoga-core type workouts. My clients inspire me. One day, while with a client, we were about to start our training session, he asked me if I could help him train for the World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run. With my prior experience in the military, I took it as a challenge to better his health and mine. My client and I have ran the World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run 5 years consecutively. I remember telling him that its a mental challenge and not necessarily just a physical challenge. When not working out or running, I like to spend time with my beautiful wife and 3 lovely kids. They understand daddys job, and occasionally I will take them to the gym. A typical day with the boys could consist of riding bikes, flying kites, and playground activities. Ultimately, your fitness should be a life long journey. No matter what your goals are, it wont change overnight. And, coming to the gym, doesnt necessarily mean your maximizing your workouts. With my help, we can do that. The knowledge, motivation, and experience I possess will get you through those days of not wanting to come in, tiredness, and just plain being lazy.
