My motivation to train and desire to share my love for health and fitness stems from educational and personal events that I have experienced in my own life. I have always been an athlete. From pop warner sports in grade school to college football; you name it, I played it.
Finding motivation to better myself physically, increase my athletic potential and stay physically active has always come easy for me. Eating right however was a different story. I grew up in a household where poor eating habits were the norm and since I received poor nutritional education in school I didn't know any better.
As a young athlete I weighed 255 pounds and was nearly 30% body fat. I had a 42 inch waist, suffered from high blood pressure and increased cholesterol levels before ending my college football career five years ago. Once I stopped playing football I decided to put my undergraduate education to use in order to lead a healthier life. I haven't stopped since. Today I weigh in at 190 pounds. I have 8% body fat, a 31 inch waist and have never felt healthier.
With this experience I am now able to use my knowledge and personal story to provide others with the education and motivation to make a change their own lives, one client at a time.
