Bio

The quote that I feel best sums up what I feel about being a personal trainer is this, "In seeking happiness for others, you find it in yourself." My job is to inspire, teach and save lives through fitness. By seeing the way a someones attitude about life can change from negative to positive by showing them how to be healthy is what fulfills my happiness. I have been at 24 Hour Fitness since 2009 and if I can make a person feel better about them self then I know I have done my job. The reason I am so passionate about fitness and why I decided to chose personal training as my profession is that obesity and the number of unhealthy people in this country has reached its highest. Since I was little I've always been active in sports, mainly lacrosse and Equestrian. Growing up, my family lived a very healthy lifestyle, so by learning this while I was young I feel as though I have the knowledge to teach others. My interest in exercise and health started when I received a scholarship to be on the Equestrian Team at Kansas State University. I didn’t know what my major would be until I took the class Intro to Kinesiology and by the end of the year I declared Kinesiology as my major. I learned so much about the human body and how it works and reacts during different types of exercises. With experience in teaching weight lifting classes and helping my strength and conditioning coach train other sports such as volleyball and rowing, I feel as though I have  the knowledge to help people get to their weight loss and exercise goals and teach them how to live a healthy life.
