Get to Know U.S. Paralympian Rico Roman
U.S. Paralympic gold medalist and Purple Heart recipient talks about who would play him in a movie, his life and what he was like in high school.
Rico Roman is many things: a veteran, a U.S. Paralympian and a father, to name a few. But did you know that his bad habit is a fairly common one? Or that he listens to pop-icon Mariah Carey?
Before competing at the Paralympic Winter Games this March in PyeongChang, South Korea, 24Life asked the sled hockey pro to answer some “behind the scenes” questions about himself.
24Life: What were you like in high school?
Rico Roman: I was a little bit of a headache for the teachers. I wish I would’ve listened more to them, but that wasn’t the case.
24Life: What’s your worst habit?
RR: I chew my nails. It’s pretty disgusting.
24Life: What’s your favorite workout song?
RR: I go through random hip-hop music when I’m working out.
24Life: What’s on your playlist that you don’t like to admit?
RR: Maybe some Mariah Carey.
24Life: If someone made a movie of your life, what would it be called and who would play you?
RR: “The Cut.” And who would play me? I would go with The Rock.
