I am in love with my career. I cannot remember when I fell in love with athletics, it was too long ago. I grew up around boxers, basketball, and football players. I love all sporting competitions, but those are my top 3 experienced competitive sports that I have participated in. Shortly after playing basketball for Pasadena City College I joined the United States Navy. I returned from deployment late 2007 and took my health for granted. By the summer of 2008 I was 65 lbs. overweight, considered obese, and was diagnosed of having high blood pressure. I will never forget that visit to the doctors office. It was a turning point. That is the day, I fell in love with my health. I know what it is like to be an athlete, in shape, and confident. I know what it is like to be overweight, insecure, and lost because I did not know where to begin. No matter what road you take, as long as fitness is the goal, stay on that road, and do not look back. Put one foot in front of the other and go. The only one stopping you, is you. A lot of people ask how I lost the weight so fast. Most people look discouraged that I did not take a magic pill or participate in some crazy diet. The ugly truth is I do not consider it a diet, diets are temporary. It is healthy eating habits. I made it a healthy lifestyle, my lifestyle. The military has trained me to believe I can conquer anything, I can and will fight through any obstacle. I pass that knowledge on to teach my clients that they are capable breaking through barriers. Progression is key. As a trainer I carry over my competitive spirit. I am committed to compete with myself everyday, and I encourage my clients to do the same. My mantra is to always be better than yesterday. I have a passion for helping people conquer their fitness goals. Mostly I enjoy my clients self confidence grow as they conquer their fitness goals and grow to believe that everything is possible.
