As far back as I can remember, I have been very active.  I lived outdoors, and organized sports were my way of life.  Soccer was my true passion, but when I wasn’t playing soccer you could find me participating in track and field or playing football.

Like a lot of people, things changed when “life happened”.  I worked too much, had terrible eating habits, and spent my down time sitting in front of the boob tube.  I remember very vividly the day I stepped on a scale and it read 250 pounds!  I knew I wasn’t in the same shape I used to be, but I was blown away by what I had become.  An hour later I was a member at my local gym, and I never looked back.

I’ve lost 60lbs over the past few years and I feel great!  What I’m most proud of is the way I did it…the right way.  I started eating healthier and worked out 3 to 4 times a week with my personal trainer at the time.  My wife was very supportive and encouraged me to get out more, and we started hiking and biking on a regular basis as well.

My success sparked me to make a career change.  I managed casual dining restaurants for 10 years, and I was contributing to the obesity of this country.  My life experiences enable me to empathize with a lot of people in similar situations and through my passion, education, and experience, I want to give back to those people.  I want to teach people the right way to live healthier.  Most importantly, I want to help people the right way to live healthier and I want to help people reach their fitness goals!
