I have always loved to play. Basketball was my first love; I played in the backyard growing up with my younger brother till it was dark. Then it was SLAUGHTER BALL!!! It's a variation of dodgeball that we played in middle school and if you're interested ask me...I LOVE IT!!!  But it was when I got to high school that I really fell in love with actual sports, what I did before was just for fun.  I ran track for four years in high school and it taught me the importance of a good work ethic. I wrestled my senior year and found out I sweat more in that tiny room in 30 minutes than I did running 10 miles. Wrestling taught me to be persistent and that I was the only person who could hold me back. In college, I found the love of soccer, ultimate frisbee, and racquetball. But my main love will always be to push myself to my limits and help those I can.

While at Cal State Northridge, I enrolled in the Kinesiology program to combine my love of exercise with the science of achieving results. The education I have gained and continue to seek along with my desire to help others reach their full potential will lead to success.  The last 3 years I have been working in a research lab at CSUN where we studied the effects of both resistance training and aerobic training on Type II diabetes and have found very promising results.  Therefore, it is my professional goal to do my part to start making a dent on both obesity and a deconditioned society, which are shown to lead to Type II diabetes as well as inspire everyone to move.
