Lance: A Short Biography

Most people know about Lance Armstrong’s many Tour de France wins. But they admire him most for his courageous victory over cancer. In 1996, the star cyclist was diagnosed with testicular cancer, which metastasized to his lungs and brain. Doctors put his chance of survival at 50/50 – but Lance wasn’t beaten. His unwavering commitment to health and fitness not only got him through the illness, but also got him back into competitive cycling.
