With shopping, parties and tasty treats, the holidays can be a challenging time for eating healthy and sticking to your regular workout routine. To help you stay on track, we’ve put together the 12 Days of Fitness: workout challenges, nutrition tips and holiday recipes.
On the first day of fitness, we’re challenging you to a one-minute plank! Planks are great for your core and you can do them at the gym, at home, in the office… anywhere.
If you’re new to planking, start on your forearms and work up to your hands. Also, hold as long as you can, with one-minute as your goal.
If a one-minute plank is a piece of fruitcake, try holding the plank longer, planking on an exercise ball, a BOSU or a side plank.
